Abu Dhabi Bound

Ironically as I open this post, Beyonce's "I Was Here" begins blairing on the surround sound. The rigid introduction of violins speaks to the anticipation of starting this new phase of my life. The piano, in a pleasant key, reminds me I am making the right decision. The heart clenching bass is God's demanding, yet reassuring voice. There are so many translations to be made from this song; where do I begin? In less than 24 hours I will begin making the journey to a destination 7,000 miles away from my world. I will spend two years working in a school system that has be deprived and underprivelege for several decades. I will go down in history as someone who helped to make history! Unremarkable...

I just want them to know
that I gave my all
did my best
brought someone to happiness
left this world a little better
just because
I was here
....I WAS HERE!
