Ladies Only!

Life in Abu Dhabi City hasn't been much different from the states. The hussle and bussle of New York is ever~present here. The streets are beyond crowded and everyone has an agenda. On the otherhand the laid back approach of many southerners is the mantra of the country. There is no sense of urgency and things will get done when they get done; Insha' Allah as the natives say!

This way of life can be very challenging for westerners as we operate with priorities and timeframes. Ha! Yea right! You could possibly wait several hours for a bus in the sickly heat or you could be amongst the vultures who don't understand "there is a line" for the cab!

But being a woman has its perks in a country where it is believed that women are suppressed! So far I've learned that women sit at the front of the bus and are given first priority. And once the bus becomes full, the men must wait! As depicted above, there are also cabs strickly for women!
As I find out other ladies only perks illl be sure to let you know!

With kind regards,
