I'm a few days away from being evicted from my five star accomodations! Quite honestly its gotten rather old and I am ready to be settled into my own space. I've spent several hours at Ikea and local furniture stores seeking out pieces based on the furniture available. ADEC has given each LT a housing stipend of 20,000AED, $5,445, and whatever I don't spend is money in the bank! Needless to say, I am trying to spend the least amount of money as possible!!
I've been placed in the desert region, long face, which is nearly 90 minutes from the city. I've always lived in the city..or in a place where things are easily accessible. I cried! I did! I'm apart of the 9% who were placed there without wanting to be placed there...Ohhh, the journey begins. Unfortunately, I haven't seen my apartment and don't know how many bedrooms I have or the square footage for that matter. But there are things that will need to be purchased, like a bed, despite knowing all the deets. I especially want to furnish my living room and kitchen. My bedroom will be simple and sweet: pretty much white! LOL

So my color scheme is gray, white, peach, pink, gold, brown, black...simple and sweet, warm and romantic...like me! |
| I love the wall color and do plan to paint! this is what I envision my bedroom to look like... |
| Love the idea of colorful pillow, which I plan to make myself. So a sewing machine is on my list! |
| As you all know, I love mirrors and I think it will compliment these colors perfectly! Ahhh, ny little serenity |
You may see this again, no, seriously!
I will be making pillows with various patterns |
| I am making a wall photo gallery! Hopefully I can find mirrors instead of photos, but both will do! |
| Love this color combo! Even the pop of teal could work with my color combo |
Love the color scheme! You're in Al Ain? I'm Raenice, by the way (place in Abu Dhabi).
ReplyDeleteNo, I've been placed in Al Gharbia, specifically Madinat Zayed, so the "city" of the western region! It's about the same distance at AA, however!
