Spring break in September!

Shortly after leaving the Emirates Palace, we made our way across the street to take the ferry to Al Maya Resorts! It was quite an adventure getting to the dock as the cabby wasn't 100% sure of where he was going!

It was as if the little boat waited for us to arrive because less than 5 minutes later we were sailing away! The water was so pristine, clear and clean! Extremely salty, but whose drinking Arabian Sea Cocktails? Not I! Instead I had a stawberry daquiri and some concoction the bartender rallied up!

Lucky for us we arrived before 2 pm ~ therefore we got in for FREEEEE! Arriving after includes a 100dh fee (roughly $27)....I did have to put down a 100dh deposit for my towel...which was refunded when I returned it!

Overall we had a great time! We spent several hours under the bridge in bath warm water where we met an Egyptian Accountant who gave us Arabic lessons! This day party happens every Friday, but in order to not wear it out, we agreed to go once every 2 months!

With kind regards,

Me, Deenie and Devon soaking in the luke warm water!

Well, I don't have any pictures from the actually island...I didn't want to risk my camera falling in the water. Al Maya means the Water..we had fun..What happens on Al Maya stays on Al Maya..nothing happened..except Deenie met a body builder whose proposed to her twice now! LOL..

The one in the Orange..His name is Ahmed and he's from Egypt. IDK the other guy!
